Nabu Books is an imagined independent bookstore located in Seattle’s Capitol Hill, a neighborhood with a deeply queer and artistic history. Conceived as both a cultural hub and an act of resistance, the project responds to the rising cost of living, increased policing, and growing socioeconomic barriers that continue to threaten the area’s creative fabric. Nabu Books is dedicated to art and design, and devoted to the people— envisioned as a gathering place where ideas circulate freely and the spirit of community, creativity, and care that has long defined Capitol Hill can thrive.
